i absolutely agree..that searching for real happiness may found only in simplest thing...If we only know how to be contented, satisfied and appreciated the thing we already have....what happen now is most of us hard to find the real happiness because we keep reaching and looking beyond what already have, sometimes happiness cannot be found in material things...and it is common be found just next beside us the real happiness our family, children, partner, neighbors friends and the community surrounded us...that is what we call indefinite happiness...nice post

Hi Herrera - I agree - we choose to be happy. In my own life I've had times when I've been struggling for money but was very happy - partly because I couldn't afford cake and I went for lots of walks, so felt healthier! And times when I had lots of work but hated it.

I've got both the money and the happiness now, but it has taken quite a while for it to come together.

@Professor Castro: Ultimately, happiness is a relative and personal concept. If, after working a lot of years in an university, you want to retire to a sunny caribbean island... well, that's good. That's your goal, and you're (happily) working for it.
